A Brand New Filmation-Style He-Man Adventure in 2026!

Filmation brought us He-Man and the Masters of the Universe over 40 years ago as of this writing. Without warning, kids of the 80's would be treated to the FINAL EPISODE of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe in 1985 when toy sales of the Masters of the Universe toyline started to fall. 

He-Man did live on in reruns and on cable networks well into the early 90's with 130 episodes under it's belt. We also had the spin-off show, She-Ra: Princess of Power, which ran 93 episodes until 1986, which did guest star He-Man from time-to-time in a handful of episodes.

Filmation, the studio behind He-Man and She-Ra, would shut it's doors for good in 1989.

The early 1990's brought us The New Adventures of He-Man, which threw He-Man into the future away from his Eternia roots. Stories were more Sci-Fi based rather than Fantasy. This series flopped, and was cancelled after one season of 65 episodes. 

In the early 2000's, fans of Masters of the Universe were treated to a Cartoon Network reboot by Mike Young Productions, which gave fans a first onscreen glimpse of the origins of He-Man and Skeletor. Character designs and the art style were updated to bring the toyline characters into a new era for new and old fans alike.

It wouldn't be until 2021 where we got two different series on NetFlix. One series, directed by Kevin Smith, was treated as a direct sequel to the Filmation series, however character designs and visuals were vastly updated, and was aimed at a more adult audience. It included violence, character deaths, as well as adult language. The other 2021 NetFlix series was CGI, and retold/rewrote He-Man's origins and was aimed at a younger audience.

Fast forward to 2026, where we finally get a Filmation-style full-episode-length fan film thanks to James Eatock and the SAME/AS production group that stays true to the original 80's series, complete with fresh updated visuals, and even the original voices..... however, there is a twist.

All dialogue has been taken and repurposed from previous episodes, and remixed with the new visuals to create a brand new episode, titled "The Return of Faker".
